Anthony grew up in Adelaide, earning his MBBS from the University of Adelaide Medical School. He completed his anaesthesia specialty in South Australia in 2002, initially practicing in Adelaide, but then relocated to Townsville in 2003. Over 15 years as a Specialist at Townsville Hospital, he took on diverse roles, applying his skills locally and during short-term medical missions in developing countries. Since 2011, Anthony built a varied private practice in Townsville, collaborating with surgical teams to refine techniques and provide individualised care.

In March 2025 he joined Wakefield Anaesthetic Group, drawn by its patient-first ethos, where he focuses on safely administering tailored anaesthesia, easing procedure-related stress, and supporting recovery.
